Description

The filters attach easily to the masks with the Bayonet Click System and can be replaced whenever needed. A type A filter protects against organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C. The number 1 indicates the filter class, which again differs for half masks and full face masks. With a half mask, the maximum concentration is 1000 ml/m³, but no more than 30 times the occupational exposure limit (OEL). With a full face mask, this rises to 400 times, while the maximum permitted concentration stays the same. Because the filters sit at the sides, they stay out of the wearer's field of vision and the weight is comfortably balanced, even during long periods of wear.

Each filter has a coloured band according to the EN14387 classification system, which shows the type of protection. 3M trapezoidal gas and vapour filters protect against ammonia and its derivatives, formaldehyde, inorganic vapours and acid gases, and organic gases with a boiling point above 65°C.
