Description
The Sparco IL Carbonio rib guard is designed for karting drivers. It was entirely designed and developed in Italy and builds on Sparco's long experience with composite materials. It combines maximum protection with the low weight that only a carbon fibre shell can deliver.
Inside, two layers of foam absorb impacts. The EPDM foam and the PU foam are dimensioned specifically for this use. They draw on experience with racing seats and supercar applications.
Sparco Impact technology combines a 4 mm EPDM layer with a 6 mm PU foam layer, significantly damping both vibrations and impacts.
The guard features latest-generation ultralight straps, the same as those used on FIA-homologated safety harnesses. In addition to a wide range of sizes, its height can be adjusted thanks to a new, very strong hook-and-loop fastening.
