REDARC SBI12D Smart Start dual sensing battery isolator, 12 V, 100 A

The REDARC SBI12D Smart Start is a microprocessor controlled battery isolator for dual battery systems. It works as a solenoid priority system that links the start and auxiliary batteries and protects the start battery from excessive discharge. The dual sensing design suits systems where the auxiliary battery may also be charged by an external source, such as solar panels or an external AC battery charger. Once the auxiliary battery reaches 13.2 V, the isolator connects the start battery so the external source can top it up too. It is used mainly in 4WD and commercial vehicles and should be installed with a high quality fuse kit.
