REDARC SBI224D Smart Start dual sensing battery isolator, 24 V, 200 A

The REDARC SBI224D Smart Start is a battery isolator that separates the start and auxiliary batteries in dual battery systems. It protects the start battery from excessive discharge. It runs at 24 V DC with a 200 A continuous rating, so it is built for heavy-duty use, mainly in commercial vehicles. Dual sensing allows charging in both directions: when an external source such as solar panels or an external AC battery charger charges the auxiliary battery and it reaches 26.4 V, the isolator also tops up the start battery from the auxiliary battery.
