The REDARC SBI12-LLD Smart Start is a microprocessor-controlled load disconnect isolator designed for 12 V lithium (LiFePO4) battery systems. It stops auxiliary loads from over-discharging the auxiliary battery, so the battery stays above the level at which its internal protection circuitry would activate. Below this level, many chargers would not be able to recharge the battery. When the auxiliary battery is over-discharged, the unit turns off the connected loads, and it restores power to them once the battery voltage rises back to a suitable level.
