SprayMax 1K Clear Coat Matt is a professional one-component acrylic clear coat aerosol for fast painting and long-lasting protection of both repaired and newly painted surfaces.

The matt clear coat produces an even final finish, and its very good flow gives a high-quality result even on spot repairs. It is suitable for automotive refinishing wherever a matt surface finish is required.

Matt Finish and Protection for Painted Surfaces

SprayMax 1K Clear Coat Matt combines a matt finish with good weather resistance. The clear coat does not change the shade of the base colour and is suitable for sealing and protecting repaired and newly painted surfaces over the long term.

Suitable for Solvent-Based and Waterborne Basecoats

The product can be applied over solvent-based and waterborne basecoats. It is also suitable for old painted surfaces that have been dried according to the manufacturer's instructions, cleaned and sanded.

Quick and Easy Application

As a one-component product, it needs no hardener activation or mixing of components. After thorough shaking it is ready to use and can be sprayed straight from the can.

Directions for Use

• Substrate preparation: The substrate must be prepared according to the paint system used. When applying over old painted surfaces, the original paint must be dried according to the manufacturer's instructions, cleaned and sanded
• Protective equipment: Wear suitable personal protective equipment – respiratory protection, gloves and safety glasses
• Mixing: Before use, shake the can thoroughly for at least 2 minutes after the mixing balls start to rattle
• Test spray: Before application, do a test spray and check that the product is compatible with the substrate and paint
• Application distance: Spray from a distance of approx. 15–20 cm
• Application: Apply 2–3 even coats. Each coat is approx. 15 μm thick
• Flash-off: Allow a flash-off time of approx. 5–10 minutes at 20 °C between coats
• Application conditions: The optimum application temperature is 18–25 °C at 40–60 % relative humidity
• Drying: Under the recommended conditions the surface is dust-free after approx. 10 minutes and touch-dry after approx. 20 minutes
• IR drying: The product can be dried with infrared. Follow the instructions of the IR equipment manufacturer
• After use: Turn the can upside down and spray for approx. 3–5 seconds to clean the valve
