SprayMax 2K Clear Coat Gloss is a two-component acrylic clear coat aerosol for high-quality, long-lasting paintwork on cars and motorcycles. It combines the advantages of a professional 2K paint system with the convenience of spraying straight from the can.

It produces a smooth surface with lasting high gloss and offers high resistance to chemicals, petrol and weathering. Its high abrasion and scratch resistance makes it suitable wherever the top coat needs to look good and protect the surface over the long term.

Professional Results from an Aerosol

The special 2K system has the hardener inside the can, which is only activated just before use. Once activated, you get a two-component paint system suitable for professional paint repairs.

The clear coat flows out very smoothly and produces a high-quality final surface without unwanted colour shifts. The finished surface is also very easy to polish.

According to the manufacturer, SprayMax 2K Clear Coat Gloss is suitable not only for spot repairs but also for painting larger areas. It keeps its good application properties even at higher ambient temperatures.

Directions for Use

• Preparation: The substrate must be prepared according to the paint system used. Old painted surfaces must be dried according to the manufacturer's instructions, cleaned and sanded
• Protective equipment: Wear suitable respiratory protection, protective gloves and safety glasses
• Mixing before activation: Before activation, shake the can thoroughly for 2 minutes after the mixing balls start to rattle
• Activation: Remove the red button from the cap and place it on the pin on the bottom of the can. Stand the can upright on a firm, level surface with the button facing down
• Activating the hardener: Press the can down evenly with the heel of your hand until you hear a crack. Activate only once
• Mixing after activation: After activating the hardener, shake the can thoroughly again for 2 minutes after the mixing balls start to rattle
• Test spray: Before application, do a test spray and check compatibility with the substrate and paint
• Application: Apply the clear coat in 1–2 even coats from a distance of approx. 15–20 cm
• Flash-off: Allow approx. 5 minutes flash-off at 20 °C between coats
• Application conditions: The optimum application temperature is 18–25 °C at 40–60 % relative humidity
• Drying: Drying time depends on temperature, coat thickness and ambient conditions. Let the clear coat cure sufficiently before further work
• Polishing: The surface can be polished once fully cured
• After use: Turn the can upside down and spray for approx. 3–5 seconds to clean the valve
