Description

The Flex Universal-Pad in 75 mm diameter is a benchmark among medium-hard polishing pads. It was developed specifically for modern paints, where efficiency, safety and a flawless finish are required. Thanks to its smaller diameter it is invaluable for polishing pillars, bumpers, mirrors and other contoured body parts that large pads cannot reach.

Technical Characteristics and Structure

The pad is made from premium open-cell polyurethane foam. This structure is key to maintaining consistent cutting performance, as it lets air circulate through the foam and actively cools both the paint surface and the pad itself. This prevents the compound from overheating and reduces dusting during polishing.

Main Benefits and Functions – 1. Top "One-Step" Performance

This Flex pad is designed to work as an all-round step in the polishing process. It effectively removes:

Light to medium scratches and car wash swirl marks.

Paint oxidation and minor holograms.

Dull areas left by fine-grit sanding (P2500 - P3000). Thanks to its density it also leaves a high mirror gloss, which in many cases removes the need for a fine finishing pad.

2. Thermal Stability and Long Service Life

High resistance to tearing and heat means the pad keeps its shape and firmness even after long hours of work. The foam structure absorbs only as much polishing compound as needed, which makes work more efficient and reduces material consumption.

3. Precise Geometry for Detail Work

The 75 mm diameter gives maximum control. When working on edges and in narrow body lines, the pad should not overhang the backing plate too much while still damping vibration sufficiently. The Flex Universal-Pad is well balanced in this respect.

Recommended Use

Machine polishing: Ideal for both random orbital (DA) and rotary polishers with a 70-75 mm backing plate.

Compound pairing: Gives the best results with medium cut compounds or all-in-one "One-Step" compounds.

Care: After use we recommend blowing the pad out with compressed air to remove compound residue.
