The Meguiar's G2970 Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit includes two products that will help restore the clarity of your headlights or any other transparent plastic, polycarbonate, or acrylic surface while protecting it for up to one year!

You do not need any equipment to use this kit; you can easily do it by hand! However, if you want to make the job even easier and more enjoyable and if you have our polishing toolG3500 Meguiar's DA Power System, you can attach the polishing discs to it and remove them easily with a machine. It's up to you!

The kit includes:

Step 1 - G31704 Perfect Clarity Cleaning Compound (\"cleaner\")

• a unique cleaning agent designed to remove light damage
• the cleaning agent is applied to a unique matte disc that is included in the kit
• in combination with the matte disc, you will achieve an even, matte surface

Procedure for headlight restoration:

• BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Always work in the shade and on a surface that is cool to the touch. Never work in direct sunlight! Shake all liquid products well before use! Use only quality accessories (foam applicators, microfiber towels) for applying and wiping products. Follow the instructions. If you have any questions, contact your dealer.
    
• Procedure:
  • Clean the lights with a cleaning product or shampoo and dry the vehicle. Cover all surrounding body parts with masking tape.
• Step 1
  • Shake the product well!
  • Apply a drop of the cleaning agent (step 1) the size of a quarter to the matte disc.
  • Using parallel strokes and light pressure, first move the headlight cover in one direction.
  • Then, using the same technique, matte the headlight cover perpendicularly to the original direction.
  • Repeat the process until you achieve an even, matte surface on the headlights.
  • Wipe off any remaining cleaning agent with a damp microfiber cloth and dry it.
    
• Step 2
  • Shake the product well!
  • Spray a medium-thick layer of the protective spray (step 2) horizontally on the matte surface, and then vertically (or vice versa) to cover the entire surface of the headlight.
  • Allow the first layer to dry for 3-5 minutes.
  • Apply the second medium-thick layer in the same manner.
  • The protective spray is touch dry after 3-5 minutes.
  • Complete curing is achieved after 24 hours. During this time, do not expose the treated surface to water.
  • If you spray the protective spray on the surrounding body parts, wipe it off immediately and do not let it dry on them!
