Metal engine skid plate / lower engine cover designed specifically for Honda HR-V 1998-2005.
This engine cover is mounted from underneath the car directly under the engine and its strength makes it a great way to protect the most vulnerable engine parts of the car from mechanical damage and impact. The 2 mm thick steel plate also protects against excessive moisture in the engine compartment, protecting components from corrosion, dirt or salt. Thanks to its surface, it also improves the aerodynamics of the vehicle, reducing road noise.
The protective cover is characterised by good fitting and easy installation, it is mounted on the original fixing holes.

Skid plate for Honda HRV1
Quality is OK for the purpose (not for hardcore 4x4 !), The installation is easy and fits perfectly on the dedicated points on the chassis. BUT... to install trhis metal plate, I had to remove the original plastic one, but this inclided the lateral protections (in the wheel arches). Moreover, the skid plate is tgo narrow and leaves important parts of the engine over exposed (belts, etc.). I will have to add some protection to this plate. Not really what I was expecting....
