Thermotec Exhaust Insulating Wrap Kits

The kit includes:

• 2x Thermotec heat insulation tape for downpipes and exhaust, white, 50mm x 15m
• 1x impregnation and protective spray for Thermotec heat insulation tapes, black
• 6x Thermotec stainless steel snap straps the heat insulation tapes, length: 230mm

The original exhaust insulating tape has been developed over 20 years ago by company Thermo-TecTM.

Insulating wraps bring innovative and simple way to get more horsepower while lowering the temperature under the hood/bonnet. Wrapped exhaust pipes maintain a higher temperature of exhaust gases (cooler gases flow slower), thanks to which occurs better irrigation of cylinders and in turbocharged engines turbo spins up quicker.

Original Thermo-tec wraps can continuously withstand temperatures up to 1100°C and are therefore suitable for turbocharged engines and use in motorsport. They do not contain asbestos. Only Thermo-tec wraps use the Thermo-Conductive-Technology (T-C-T™), developed by Thermo-tec. Thanks to T-C-T all wraps provide controlled dissipation of accumulated heat up to its surface.

All Thermo-tec wraps are only 1.6 mm  thick which makes wrapping easier.

Isolated exhaust pipes can decrease the temperature of the of the engine compartment by 70%.

2. Impregnating spray used to prevent the heat insulation tape on the exhaust pipe from abrasion or fluid leakage (they will not soak into the tape). High resin content solidifies and consolidates the tape surface to extend its lifetime.
It is also suitable when used on bare metal (eg. engine blocks, cylinder heads, etc.).

Permanently resistant to 1100°C in case of application on the tape (650°C in case of application to bare metal).

3. Stainless steel Thermotec snap strap for the heat insulation tape, length: 230 mm.

Multi-purpose stainless steel snap straps are intended for better adhesion of heat-insulating tape on the exhaust downpipes or other parts of the exhaust system.
If necessary, simply cut to a desired length.
Reliable Multi-Lock system prevents the tape from release or loosening even after a long periods of time.
