Precisely manufactured plastic strips, available in four different colours, each offering a different measuring range.
Measuring ranges
- green: 0.02 – 0.08 mm
- red: 0.05 – 0.15 mm
- blue: 0.10 – 0.25 mm
- yellow: 0.20 – 0.40 mm
How to measure
Measuring clearance with the Flexigauge kit is very easy: remove the bearing from the crank, clean the bearing surfaces of oil and place a piece of flexigauge on the crank. Install the bearing and use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to the correct torque. Remove the bearing and compare the width of the flattened flexigauge with the scale.
