Manufacturer's note: PFF75K-504 Front Upper Control Arm Inc Bush Kit is a pressed steel replacement wishbone pre-fitted with zinc-plated outer shells and Black 95A bushes for ultimate chassis control, performance and durability. For an on-car camber adjustable version use PFF75K-504G. These will only replace the factory steel arms and will not replace aluminium arms. For most people, the Tesla Model S was the first mass-produced electric vehicle to be seen on roads across the globe. Since then, the US carmaker has grown to become the global leader in the vehicle electrification arms race. The Model S/X, however, run on suspension layouts that we would recognize from well-known and much-loved European brands but weigh in at 30% heavier than a similarly sized 5-Series saloon. With headline acceleration figures, portly kerb weight and bushes made from natural rubber, it is no wonder the wear rate of bushes and ball joints can catch owners by surprise, giving way to knocks, clunks and accelerated tyre wear. We have applied what has been learned from years of manufacturing to provide a reliable and durable bolt-on replacement solution, with polyurethane bushes pre-installed in quality-supplied wishbones.

Powerflex was formed in 1996 in UK to take advantage of the significant advances made in the development of polyurethane in recent years. The company has wide experience of automotive suspension and chassis systems and combining these design skills with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques led to the development of the wide range of high performance automotive polyurethane components now known the world over by the product name POWERFLEX.

Component manufacturing is carried out with the latest automatic processing equipment ensuring 100% right first time quality.

Testing of new components is carried out both on the vehicle and on test rigs. POWERFLEX were selected to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise International Trade 2013 and in December 2014 certified to ISO 9001 as a manufacturer underlining their quality and stature as a global exporter.

Materials are colour coded to make them easily identifiable. Below explains the shore rating and their common uses.

  • Red 65A – Used for universal exhaust mounts and diesel engine mounts.
  • Yellow 70A – Mainly used for engine mounts, diff mounts and subframe mounts or areas where the bush needs a lot of movement and absorption.
  • Purple 80A – Most common material. This is used in most areas of the suspension and provides the right mix between performance and compliance.
  • Black 95A – The hardest material. This is used mostly for Black Series range or in Road Series where the vehicles standard suspension demands require us to use this hardness of material i.e. in areas of high load.
