Description

The FLEX PXCE 18-EC Set is a compact professional cordless polisher designed for detailing, paintwork and spot repair. Its main advantage is a modular system that lets you change not only the backing plate size but also the type of motion of the machine itself.

A single tool can work in rotary mode, with free random orbital motion or with forced rotation orbital motion. This lets you use the PXCE for fine sanding, local defect correction, standard polishing and final hologram removal.

Three types of motion for each job

Rotary mode delivers direct rotary motion and a strong cutting action. It is particularly suited to locally removing more severe defects and to work where you need to get the most out of a small polishing pad.

Free random orbital motion is set using three interchangeable adapters with a 3, 6 or 12 mm stroke. A smaller stroke gives more precise control on details, while a larger stroke lets you work a larger local area more efficiently.

The forced rotation orbital mode works with a 6 mm stroke. It combines orbital motion with permanently driven rotation, so the pad does not stop even under higher load or on contoured surfaces.

3 mm orbit – maximum precision

The 3 mm free orbital stroke is suited to fine, precise work on very small areas. It is useful for local correction, sanding out small defects or finishing spots where maximum control of the machine is needed.

6 mm orbit – the all-round compromise

The 6 mm stroke offers a good balance between precision and cutting power. It suits most everyday detailing work on smaller panels, bumpers, pillars and contoured parts of the vehicle.

The separate 6 mm forced rotation adapter provides more stable motion where a free orbital can slow down under pressure or on edges.

12 mm orbit – more efficient correction

The largest free orbital stroke of 12 mm lets you cover a larger area more efficiently and achieve higher cutting power while keeping the character of a DA polisher.

It is suitable for smaller body panels, doors, bumpers or other areas where a standard 125 or 150 mm polisher is too large.

30, 50 and 75 mm backing plates

The set includes three cushioned hook-and-loop backing plates

• 75 mm – for more efficient polishing of medium-sized local areas

The backing plates have a thin, medium-hard PU cushioning layer and are designed exclusively for the FLEX PXCE/PXE system.

Quick tool-free mode change

FLEX uses a quick-change system that lets you swap the rotary and individual orbital adapters without tools. You can quickly move from sanding or heavy correction to a finer finish without switching machines.

Touch speed control

The PXCE 18-EC has an intuitive touch panel for setting the speed. The control works even with gloves on and has a lock function that helps prevent accidental start-up.

The no-load speed ranges from 1,000 to 6,000 rpm and the stroke rate reaches 2,000 to 12,000 strokes/min.

Integrated LED lighting

A big advantage for detailing is the integrated three-level LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature from approximately 2,500 to 6,500 K.

The lighting helps you inspect the work area, the condition of the paint and the result of each polishing step without constantly reaching for a separate handheld lamp.

FLEX 18 V battery system

The machine is part of the FLEX 18 V platform and can be used with all compatible FLEX 18 V batteries.

This set includes two AP 18/2.5 batteries with a capacity of 2.5 Ah. The more compact 2.5 Ah battery is practical on a small polisher mainly because it does not add unnecessary weight or bulk.

The set also includes a 12/18 V rapid charger.

Brushless motor and low vibration

The brushless motor offers high efficiency and a long service life. The newly developed drive concept was designed with a focus on reducing noise and vibration.
