Manufacturer's note: PFF88-1030 insert is made with our Yellow 70A material and fills the voids in the original mount, limiting engine movement and providing additional stability under acceleration. The result is a restriction in engine movement, preventing wheel hop and offering more precise gear-shifting for a more positive driving experience. This, in turn, additionally prolongs the mount s life expectancy. NB: When strengthening the connection between the engine and chassis, a small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected. Naturally, the harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted. It will not fit vehicles using the engine bracket p/n 31401633 due to the lack of support provided by the bracket required to prevent the insert from pulling out of the torque rod.

Materials are colour coded to make them easily identifiable. Below explains the shore rating and their common uses.

Red 65A – Used for universal exhaust mounts and diesel engine mounts.
Yellow 70A – Mainly used for engine mounts, diff mounts and subframe mounts or areas where the bush needs a lot of movement and absorption.
Purple 80A – Most common material. This is used in most areas of the suspension and provides the right mix between performance and compliance.
Black 95A – The hardest material. This is used mostly for Black Series range or in Road Series where the vehicles standard suspension demands require us to use this hardness of material i.e. in areas of high load.
