Manufacturer's note: PFF26-122P Lower Torque Mount - Fast Road/Track combines our stiffer Purple 80A and Black 95A materials, providing a 350% increase in stiffness over OE for even sharper response and durability for more extensively tuned vehicles or mild track use. With its unique dual-sleeve fastening setup for reduced twist of the mount, this really is the N-ext level upgrade for those looking for ultimate engine stability. To suit the variable requirements of the i30N driver, our new part is available in three different ratings of shore hardness to balance performance requirements. Yellow Shore A 70 is an upgraded replacement for the original bush, recommended for fast road use.Purple Shore A 80 is a stiffer material to suit higher powered cars that may be used on the track.Black Shore A 95 is our Black Series part for extreme Track and Motorsport applications for ultimate engine stability.Whilst an increase in material stiffness will reduce engine movement, additional noise and vibration may be felt.Graph showing Load vs Displacement of each of our materials compared with the original, rubber bush CNC-machined brackets from billet 6082 Aluminium for strength and durability.

Powerflex was formed in 1996 in UK to take advantage of the significant advances made in the development of polyurethane in recent years. The company has wide experience of automotive suspension and chassis systems and combining these design skills with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques led to the development of the wide range of high performance automotive polyurethane components now known the world over by the product name POWERFLEX.

Component manufacturing is carried out with the latest automatic processing equipment ensuring 100% right first time quality.

Testing of new components is carried out both on the vehicle and on test rigs. POWERFLEX were selected to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise International Trade 2013 and in December 2014 certified to ISO 9001 as a manufacturer underlining their quality and stature as a global exporter.

Materials are colour coded to make them easily identifiable. Below explains the shore rating and their common uses.

  • Red 65A – Used for universal exhaust mounts and diesel engine mounts.
  • Yellow 70A – Mainly used for engine mounts, diff mounts and subframe mounts or areas where the bush needs a lot of movement and absorption.
  • Purple 80A – Most common material. This is used in most areas of the suspension and provides the right mix between performance and compliance.
  • Black 95A – The hardest material. This is used mostly for Black Series range or in Road Series where the vehicles standard suspension demands require us to use this hardness of material i.e. in areas of high load.
