Description

DINITROL 410 UV NF is a one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant for flexible bonding and sealing. It cures with atmospheric moisture and forms an elastic joint with good weather resistance.

It is used mainly in the manufacture and repair of buses, trucks, caravans and boats, as well as in other industrial applications. The white version is suitable where the joint should match a light-coloured surface or be less noticeable.

Surface preparation

The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust, oil and grease before application. Proper surface preparation is important for the final adhesion of the joint.

Application and curing

• Clean, degrease and dry the surface thoroughly
• Apply the cartridge with a standard applicator gun
• Work the material at approx. +5 to +35 °C
• Once cured, the joint can be painted over as needed
• For special substrates or applications, carry out a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test

At 23 °C and 50 % relative humidity, a skin forms in approx. 30 minutes. The curing rate is approx. 3 mm per 24 hours.

Painting over the cured joint

Once cured, DINITROL 410 UV NF can be painted over with most common paint systems. Check compatibility with the specific paint system beforehand.

Resistance of the cured joint

The cured material is resistant to water, salt water, dilute acids and alkalis and water-based cleaning agents. Temperature resistance is from −40 °C to +90 °C, and up to +120 °C for short periods.
