Meguiar's Iron Removing Spray Clay contains ingredients that turn the product red on contact with iron-based contaminants (Fe). This effect is not evidence of the cleaning action of the product but simply an indicator of whether surface contaminants contain iron. If the surfaces are heavily soiled but do not contain iron contaminants, the product will not change color, yet will still effectively clean the surface of residual dirt.

Recommended Procedure:

• Work in the shade and on a surface that is cool to the touch.
• Wash and dry the car to remove all loose dirt.
• Spray the product on the body and let it sit for 2-3 minutes. The color change to red or purple indicates a reaction with iron contaminants and their release.
• DO NOT ALLOW THE PRODUCT TO DRY!
• Enhance effectiveness with a wash mitt and then rinse all residues off with a strong stream of water.
• For maximum condition and perfect appearance, polish and protect the vehicle with suitable products.

Usage Tips:

• For maximum effectiveness, apply to a washed and dried body.
• For heavy contamination, the process may need to be repeated.
• If non-iron contaminants remain on the surface, remove them using clay.
