The Flex Finish-Pad, designated PP-F, is a premium tool in the Flex accessory system, designed for the final polishing stage. This fine foam pad is key to achieving a mirror gloss and removing the finest paint defects on small body details.

Technical Parameters and Material Properties – 1. Optimised Fine Foam

The PP-F designation refers to a foam structure with high density and softness. Unlike more aggressive pads (e.g. PS-O), this foam:

Absorbs vibration: It makes small polishers such as the PXE 80 more comfortable to use.

Delivers high gloss: It minimises mechanical resistance and lets the polishing compound work at the micro-particle level.

Holds its shape: Even at a small diameter (50 mm), it keeps its form under pressure on curves.

2. "Sandwich" Construction and Attachment

The pad has a highly durable hook-and-loop backing that is heat-laminated to the foam.

Tips for a Professional Result

Priming the pad: Before first use, spread a thin film of compound on the pad so the surface is lubricated from the start.

Cleanliness comes first: As this is the final step, any grain of dust trapped in the fine PP-F foam can cause new scratches. Store the pad in a sealable bag.

Pressure and speed: When finishing with the PP-F, let the weight of the machine and the compound do the work. Too much pressure can reduce the cutting efficiency of the compound and raise the paint temperature.
