DINITROL 410 UV NF is a one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant that cures with atmospheric moisture. It cures quickly, stays flexible and has high resistance to UV radiation and weathering.
It is used in bus, truck and caravan building and in boatbuilding — for bonding and for sealing overlap and expansion joints, inside and outside.
It adheres well to primed and painted metals, GRP, rigid PVC, wood and glass — and on many of these it needs no adhesion promoter. That saves you a work step, waiting time for the primer to dry and material costs.
On more demanding substrates, always test adhesion on a small area first.
Once cured, it can be painted with most paints. 2K acrylic paints can also be applied wet-on-wet, so you do not have to wait for the sealant to cure fully.
Beware of paints containing alcohol or alkyd resin
These paints prevent the sealant from curing. Always check the paint composition before painting and test on a small area.
The cured material resists water, salt water, dilute acids and alkalis, and water-based cleaning agents. It also withstands petrol, greases and mineral oils for short periods.
The temperature range is −40 to +90 °C, and up to 120 °C for short periods.
What you will need
For the foil pack, you need a gun with a sufficiently long barrel — choose one in the application equipment category.
Products for cleaning the substrate and removing fresh residue are in the surface preparation and cleaning and wipes categories.
Wear nitrile gloves and eye protection — the material contains isocyanates.
You will find more sealants in the sealants category and adhesives in the structural adhesives category. Materials for caravan building are in the caravan building category.

On many substrates, no — that is the main time saving compared with other polyurethanes. On more demanding or unusual materials, test adhesion on a small area first.
Most likely because of a paint containing alcohol or alkyd resin — these prevent curing. 2K acrylic paints do not cause this problem and can also be applied wet-on-wet.
Yes. The material has high UV stability and weather resistance, so you can leave it exposed on visible exterior joints.
Wipe off fresh material with white spirit. Once cured, it can only be removed mechanically, so it is best to mask the area around the joint beforehand.
