The suit is a specialized garment designed to provide protection and comfort from go-karts to F1 or the Dakar Rally. It currently divides overalls into 2 primary types. Overalls WITHOUT and WITH FIA homologation.
Products without FIA homologation are required in the lowest levels of motorsport, mostly in go-kart races, mini-rallies or slaloms. This is a race where special attention is paid to long sleeves and sufficient coverage of the entire body. The absence of homologation means that the suit does not contain a flame retardant component, which is a requirement for FIA-approved suits, and has not been properly tested to meet the specified safety aspects. The advantage, however, is the low weight, breathability and the possibility to choose from countless designs that are not affected in any way by the mandatory elements of the FIA.
In go-karts, these overalls can be enriched with a waterproof or insulating component in adverse or cold weather.

Overalls with FIA homologation ensure the maximum level of protection for the driver and passenger. However several factors are decisive when choosing the right product. The number of layers is a fundamental factor. Each overall contains 2-3 nomex (non-flammable material) layers. Each of these layers provides the prescribed 15 seconds of fire protection. However, it should be taken into account that each added layer generally reduces the airiness of the suit, which can cause overheating of the body and reduced comfort when riding, especially if there is racing, non-flammable underwear under the suit. However, our offer also includes Sparco suits with only one layer of Nomex fabric, which uses Hocotex technology. This technology ensures the protection of a 3-layer suit while using only one layer.
It is also worth mentioning the regulations of certain championships, which may determine the obligation to use overalls and specify how many layers of Nomex material they must contain. These layers can be combined with the use of non-flammable underwear. So if 3 layers are required, you can use a 2-layer coverall along with the underwear.
Modern overalls provide various flexible materials to maximize freedom of movement or ensure maximum cooling. In our offer, you will also find overalls or underwear supporting "Cool Suit" technology. This system injects cold liquid through a spiral pipe sewn into the underwear or overalls, which has a pleasant effect on the driver or passenger and thus lowers their body temperature during races in excessive heat.
Modern technologies provide variety in the shape and colours of FIA homologated suits. In our offer, you will find products where you can choose the colours of the overall look or have the overalls completely printed with your own graphics. These modifications do not affect safety and are a unique decoration for every rider who wants to highlight his style or improve the presentation of himself and his partners. However, these modifications are more costly in terms of money and time. The simplest and cheapest solution is to sew the sponsor's tags directly onto a normal unmodified overall. Attention, because even in this case nomex thread is recommended in order to protect the rider in the event of a fire in the vehicle.
When choosing sizes, it is recommended to follow the size charts of the manufacturers of overalls and rather to measure several times rather than to ban later. The correct size of the coverall is important for ideal comfort behind the wheel or moving around in the depot. This time seems short, but in the case of a fire in a vehicle, milliseconds and instant decisions are decisive.
